Seeing as I haven't heard anything about it recently I'm gonna guess that's a no go.

My problem is that I just left DirectTV because I could no longer get the employee discount and now I don't have many choices for affordable cable. Cable is rediculously expensive if you want a dvr, DirectTV requires a LONG commitment, and DISH's satelite is in a crappy position and blocked by trees at my house.

Is it worth being concerned about FiosTV arriving sometime soon or should I just get stuck in a 2 year commitment to DirectTV to get a decent price ??Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10908626.post-1145583423825554522006-04-20T21:37:00.000-04:002006-04-20T21:37:00.000-04:00yea man, thanx for every details.yea man, thanx for every details.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10908626.post-1145302002782207402006-04-17T15:26:00.000-04:002006-04-17T15:26:00.000-04:00Don,Are the county's outside lawyers part of the p...Don,
Are the county's outside lawyers part of the problem or part of the solution? If they are getting paid by the hour it would seem that they have an incentive to drag things out as long as possible. If they are able to extract close the $400K annually from the county budget, then why would they want to change the status quo?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10908626.post-1144821871650214792006-04-12T02:04:00.000-04:002006-04-12T02:04:00.000-04:00Don,Thank you for all the info! As someone who lives in MC and currently has fios internet and desperately wants Cable TV competition in MC (primarily because I hate to get gouged on price and selection) your blog has been the only thorough source of info on the situation. I do not feel so lost on the evolving status of the situation.

My only question is, based upon your extensive knowledge of the situation, what would be your best guess as to when the residents of MC will have access to Verizon Cable TV? From picking the brains of the fios installers they said that the gossip inside Verizon was that it would be the 4th quarter at the soonest (this info is from January though).

Thanks,
ChrisAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
